So I’m a huge fan of the Arctic Monkeys. I’ve been listening to them since they first came out when I was just a wee high-schooler, and a few weeks ago I got to see them live for the first time!

They played mostly songs from their latest album, Humbug, including this one that I got a clip of, Crying Lightning. [Excuse the awful sound quality. Bad acoustics plus unsophisticated camera is not the greatest combination.]

Ever since the show, I’ve been listening to Humbug on repeat.

The album, which came out last July, was produced by Queens of The Stone Age/Them Crooked Vultures guitarist, Josh Homme, contributing to a change in the band’s musical style. It got mixed reviews, largely from fans who were expecting a more familiar sound, but personally, I’m a HUGE fan of the new direction they’ve taken with this album.
